Eligibility Requirements
Motor must meet or exceed NEMA Premium™
efficiency standards and offer the following
features:
Single-speed, AC polyphase, squirrel cage
induction NEMA Design A or B, continuous
rated Synchronous speeds of 3600, 1800 or
1200 rpm 3.
The nameplate of the new motor must clearly
state the National Electrical Manufacturers
Association (NEMA) nominal premium
efficiency
Rebates apply only to new motors (not
rewound or repaired motors).
Incentives over $1,000 or for more than 20
motors require pre-approval
Minimum operation of motor is 2000 hours per
year. Agricultural motors used for
ventilation or dairy (pump and chiller)
operations are exempt.
Motor must be approved for the specific
application and operating environment.
