One of our 7 Cooperative Principles is Concern for Community. Our cooperative employees are devoted to giving back to the communities that we serve and volunteer their time in many different ways.
In 2024, T.I.P. REC employees volunteered 1231.5 hours. Through our T.I.P. REC Volunteer Hours Program, our employees keep track of their volunteer hours and turn them in at the end of the year. (Each hour equals $1.00) The employees of T.I.P. REC then decide which organizations to donate to on their behalf. For 2024, a volunteer hours donation of $615.75 was given to both Chris’ Heart Fund and Mason’s Light House.
This volunteer hours program demonstrates to our member-owners that co-ops bring more to them then just electricity. Our employees support our communities by lending a helping hand when needed and will continue to do so to keep our communities thriving.
Supporting our communities is another priority at T.I.P. REC.
